One number, and where it comes from
- A rating per topic
- An account is what a rated attempt is graded against. A rated lab or a rated run through a question bank is graded on the server and moves the rating for the topics it covers. Unrated work is still recorded on your profile and never moves the board. Rated and unrated labs.

- The pages under Ratings are built from that: a year of work, a radar of the nineteen topics, every attempt with its score.
- A terminal signs in the same way
- There is no password to type anywhere. a in the TUI shows a code to type at github.com/login/device — on any device, so a headless machine signs in too; a remembered machine stays signed in for ninety days, and can be signed out from here.
- An AI client connects to the same account
- Claude Code, or any MCP client, reads your progress over Norboten's MCP server with a token that is good for an hour and for nothing else.
